How do I find employees through BOSS-Works?

Most clients use BOSS-Works for placing long term, part-time or full time positions. Our comprehensive vetting practices deliver talent to you at a price you can afford. Each candidate will be screened, interviewed, tested and references verified long before we send them to you for consideration.

What happens after I place a job with BOSS-Works?

Once you place a job with BOSS-Works, our skilled staff goes to work to find you the perfect candidate using our comprehensive screening process. All employee searches and screenings are taken care of by our staffing department and the results are reported back to you. Once we have resumes that meet your needs, we schedule interviews and finalize the hiring process. Interview practices may include telephone, video, and/or face-to-face interviews. We do our best to ensure the highest quality, and highest qualified people for the job. 

What is a Direct Hire?

BOSS-Works helps you find the perfect professional to go directly onto your payroll. We call this a Direct Hire Placement. BOSS-Works performs all of the recruiting, testing and screening functions for you. Once you select a professional they will go directly onto your payroll. BOSS-Works charges a one-time fee of 10% of the anticipated annualized salary for Direct Hire Placements.  

Does BOSS-Works require a minimum or maximum number of hours per week to place a job through you?

BOSS-Works has professionals in our database looking for jobs from as low as 5 hours per week up to 40 hours per week. If your job falls between this range, we would love to help you fill your job.  

What can you tell me about the BOSS-Works professionals?

BOSS-Works has a proprietary database of experienced, college-educated professionals. The majority of our professionals have earned a bachelor’s degree, and many have a master’s degree or higher. You will not find a more capable group of professionals, anywhere! 

What happens if the employee I select does not work out?

To steer clear of this, we have more recruiting steps in place than any other staffing company out there. However, we realize no system is perfect, especially when you are in the business of people. If the BOSS-Works employee you select does not work out for any reason, simply call your BOSS-Works contact and we will end the placement immediately for you. We offer a 90 day pro-rated guarantee on all Direct Hires.

Does BOSS-Works offer payroll services?

Yes, BOSS-Works can act as your payroll and HR department, should your company require that service. Please contact us for more information and pricing. 

Does it cost me anything to register and apply for jobs?

No, we never charge our job seekers a fee for registering or applying for open jobs. There is also no fee to the job seeker for job placement through BOSS-Works. 

What is the BOSS screening and interview process?

Our interview practices include telephone, video and/or face-to-face interviews, thorough reference checking. personality testing, and the ability to provide detailed pre-employment screenings (as well as E-Verify compliance) and targeted skills testing. We do our best to ensure the highest quality, and highest qualified people for the job.

The majority of our jobs are long-term, flexible, part-time or full time positions, meaning our clients have an ongoing need for a professional to do the specified work. The job type and duration of the job will be noted in the job description on the BOSS-Works job page. 

Are the jobs located in my city or the surrounding area?

Although BOSS-Works is headquartered in Utah, and registered in Colorado, we receive calls from clients throughout the United States. Be sure to check our website often, as new jobs come in each and every day. Virtual positions are jobs the client believes can be completed remotely from anywhere in the United States. These positions will be listed as virtual jobs.  

I submitted my resume. Now what?

We receive a high volume of resumes and applications for jobs on our BOSS-Works job board, and it is not always possible for our staffing department to contact every job seeker. We appreciate your interest in BOSS-Works and we will reach out to you when we have a position that fits your desired work schedule, location and skill set. We encourage you to visit our website often to view our open positions.  I expressed interest for an open job. 

Why hasn’t anyone called me?

BOSS-Works sees a high volume of interest in every job we post to our job board. In order to be considered for a particular job, your resume or portfolio must show education or previous experience in the field of work. Our intuitive staffing software matches job seekers to open jobs by scanning resumes and creating a Short List of highly qualified candidates.  Be sure you keep your resume and profile up-to-date, this is essential to the job seeking process. I do not have a year of college. Can I still apply?

Our minimum requirement, in order to apply for a job, is at least one year of education from an accredited college or university. Keep in mind that you can piece together a year of college courses to meet the BOSS-Works requirement. Most of the job seekers in our staffing database have a bachelor’s degree and many have a master’s. Our job seekers are highly qualified and skilled professionals; this gives us a professional edge and sets us apart from all other staffing companies.

Do you represent the job candidate or business client?

Do I work for BOSS-Works or the client?

Most often, you will become a Direct Hire of our client. A direct hire position means you immediately become an employee of the client working directly for their company.
